Returning to Kenya
I’m excited about my upcoming return mission to Kenya. The Lord has opened a door of opportunity for me to further the work we began last January.
I and a team from my church will again minister to residents of one of the worst slums on the planet, the Mathare Valley of Nairobi.
Additionally, I will spend four days in the bush teaching a course to tribal pastors enrolled in the Mission Institute of East Africa, of which I am a founding instructor. I will again teach a course I’ve written entitled, “Self-Care and Self-Leadership in Pastoral Ministry.” I am excited for this opportunity and pray the Lord uses this to strengthen the churches and encourage the pastors there.
Both of these efforts are in partnership with Christian Missionary Fellowship, a great missions organization headquartered in Indianapolis.
I would very much appreciate your prayers…
+ for God’s help and guidance as we plan this trip.
+ that we will accomplish all that He has set before us.
+ that Christ and His love in us will be evident to all.
+ for safe travel and good health for each of us.
+ for peace and protection for our families back home.
I look forward to reporting to you its fruit. Thank you and bless you for your prayers.
